Impact sound control in a repurposed mill for multi-family residence

This project involved the renovation of the historic Water Street Mill complex in Williamstown MA. From twine manufacturing to textiles to weaving, the facility grew to eight buildings totaling over 9 000m². The project included converted restoration of the since abandoned properties into a revitalized mix of lofts, apartments, and condominiums. The units feature exposed bricks, high wood beamed ceilings, and contemporary finishes. Nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, along the banks of the Green River, in the heart of the town of Williamstown, it has become a unique part of the fabric of Williamstown.
